A weekend of Cowgirl dreams.

It’s a strange thing..
I’m not a huge horse-rider.
Not a ranch hound.
Not even really that interested in donning chaps….
*
YET…
*
I am obsessed with this WILD HORSE WOMAN WITH HAIR FLAILING BEHIND HER AS SHE FLIES HORSEBACK ACROSS A FIELD thing.
*
Anyone with me?
*
I guess it’s what this little scene represents and also that before my very eyes, my kidlet #2 is obsessed with everything horse and is well on her way to being this woman (I couldn’t be more proud!).
*
Horses are mysterious to me…rode ‘em at summer camp in the Cascade mtns. when I was a kid, but grew up in the city, so the rest of my year was horse-free. They are majestic and beautiful and WILD.
*
I like that wild part…
*
always have…I want to photograph them something awful right now…I have a lead on a group owned by a woman out here who I think would allow me some pasture time. SOON! Gotta do it soon.

*
My pal Tiffany, in her gracious “sharing all with everyone” weekend, let Rach ride her pony and Katie tag along with her daughter (K is a bit scared of horses…but eventually did ride alone). Rach didn’t want to get off the horse—she was out their with Tiffany’s daughter for almost 2 1/2 t0 3 hours….
*
…having the time of her life.
*
Being a wild horse woman.
Jumping for the first time.
Taking it all in, Cowgirl friend and all….
*
it was a dream come true for her and she cried on the way home saying that she missed her pony friend.

Mr. Toby~

Horse and R become one…
