A little big of Sugar

*
This dog has a story…a sad one. My pal Jayme at the Humane Society was telling it to me..this a brief version–
She came to us and was then transferred to Must Love Dogs NW and that is where Katie and Steve found her and adopted her. She was diagnosed with bone cancer earlier this month and was given 4-6 months to live. She couldn’t be with 2 better human companions right now!
This is a quote from Katie (Sugar’s mom) “we will take a day at a time and keep her comfortable and love her as long as we have her. We are not sorry we adopted her, as she has a great life here.”

Oh…sometimes ya just gotta cry after a client leaves the studio…this was one of those days. She is a LOVE and such a pleasure to spend time with.

Here’s to dog lovers who make the commitment all the way to the end. Sugar couldn’t be in better hands.

ugh heartbreaking… in life one is truly blessed to find unconditional love, it is a guarantee however, if you own a dog. best of luck to sugar and her family - they are all lucky to have found one another.

I am deeply moved by this. Jayme at the shelter is a great gal. “Must Love Dogs NW” is a great organization…they helped me with a stray I found last Fall …… pulling him out of the shelter and placed in a new home days later.
Having two pets that have been diagnosed w/ cancer in the past….and my brother’s Golden Retriever got the dreaded bone cancer diagnosis last Spring….I know only too well how Sugar’s people must feel.
How awesome they adopted her and are giving her the best life possible in the short time remaining. Wonderful they brought Sugar in to have pics taken. What a beautiful dog….excellent pics. I am so sorry this happened to them…….thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks for your time with Sugar and me. She just got news today that HER time will be briefer than we’d hoped (days to wks) This is very hard, but the support of folks like you does make it a little less painful.
